New Features

  • New Ship: Weapons Platform (Difficulty: Beginner)
    • Description: "Slower ship that can equip lots of weapons. Starts with Chain Gun and Triple Shot Turret. Has 9 Weapon slots, but only 3 Utility slots. All Weapons Attack Speed increased by 10%."

Dev Comment: Allows for a more weapons-focused/aggressive play style.

  • New Utility Item: Green Pilot (Cost 300)
    • Description: "Increases xp gain and ship speed slightly"

Dev Comment: Gives players another item which increases the speed of the ship, allowing for more variety in playstyle. Low cost makes it easily accessible in early game.

  • Full Mouse Support (Well... almost)
    • Almost all aspects of the game can be navigated with only the mouse
    • Includes all menus, pausing, and most movement
    • Only exception is that you cannot strafe with the mouse (although this feature is rarely useful)

Balance Changes and Tweaks

  • Adjusted Game Progression
    • Increased progression speed early game
    • Added starting money to all ships
    • Adjusted difficulty of late-game waves (post 12 minute)
    • Reworked majority of weapon upgrades costs and perks
  • Added formal rules to how different shield modules interact
    • Now explicitly clear they stack with each other
  • Added difficulty hints to the Select Ship screen
  • Added a slight delay to resuming the game when unpausing/exiting the shop

Dev comment: This allows the player to move their mouse to orient their ship in the correct direction. 

  • Reworked "Sweeping Laserbeam" - Now "Sweeping Death Beam"
    • Now targets a specific enemy, and then moves in a sweeping motion
    • Before, targeted a random point in space
    • Increased cost, damage and overall power substantially

Dev comment: Weapon was extremely bad for most of the game. New version is very powerful, but only realistically available in the late game.

  • Reworked Ship "The Laser Falcon"
    • Now starts with only one weapon; standard "Laserbeam"
    • Increased Damage Over Time (DOT) buff for all weapons


  • The colour/background of shop panels now changes depending on if you can afford an item
  • Whole Item panel in the shop is now a button (before only the part displaying the money could be interacted with)
  • Adjusted various text box sizes/bounds to prevent text overflow
  • Updated Hint Box contents to remove certain Game Jam related hints
  • Hint Box now flashes when new hints are displayed
  • Increased all damage and health values by a factor of 10


  • Updated How To Play screen to include information on pausing the game, and mouse movement controls

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Level Up Screen displaying the default level number only (99)

Dev comment: This was a surprisingly difficult bug to get rid of. I do hope it is finally gone.

  • Fixed Music Player not correctly transitioning between tracks when they are about to finish
  • Fixed wipe save button countdown going into negative territory when pressed too many times
  • Fixed bug where projectiles would sometimes stick to the player
  • Fixed bug where pointer could point past the delivery location when the player went too near to it
  • Removed wipe save button from start screen, now only on the "Level Perks" screen
  • Various typo fixes, adjustments of UI placement, and gameplay tweaks
